Sub: -School Education – Accepting India Post payments Bank Account for crediting of Jagananna Ammavodi amounts which is also facilitated with DBT credits – Request – Regarding.
Ref:- Lr.No. IPPB\AP\DGE-01\2022-23, Dated:10.05.2022 of the Assistant General Manager & Circle Head, India Post Payment Bank Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh addressed to the Hon’ble Minister Education, A.P., Amaravati.

All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and all the District Educational ofcers in the State are informed that in the reference cited, the Assistant General Manager & Circle Head, India Post Payment Bank, Vijayawada has informed that the Banking with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) provides the following advantages to the Government agencies/ Departments.
• Digitization and enabling of a "less Cash eco-system"
• Linkage with Payments & Settlement systems- NEFT, RTGS, UPI, IMPS and BBPS.
• Government Subsidies - PFMS, ABPS
• Overcomes the difculties based by the government agencies in ensuring flow of beneits difculty in reaching last mile and establishing true identity of customers.
Further it is informed that, their target segment is rural population and under privileged, they have made their IFSC code (IPOS0000001) common across the country and provide QR cards to all the account holders and Virtual Debit card to smart phone users which help them access banking services and encourage Cash less inancial Transactions.
Considering their vast network and latest technology enabled products & services and the beneits it officers to the Students (Scholarship Beneiciaries), the Assistant General Manager & Circle Head India Post Payment Bank Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh has requested to instruct the ield functionaries to accept their bank "India Post Payments Bank" for Amma Vodi of Andhra Pradesh state Government and Inclusion of their bank account in the above mentioned portal for those beneiciaries who are already having their bank account to avail the low cost and hassle services offered by them.
