2.Recommendations of the SCERT, AP

ORDER:

All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, All the District Educational O fcers , All the APCs of Samagra Shihsha and all the Principals of DIETS in the State are aware that the Government of Andhra Pradesh has tahen steps for efective implementation of National Educational Policy-2020 by emphasizing the quality of education and reforms in school education in a big way by the implementation of the transformation of existing educational ecosystem.

2.SCERT as the academic authority is revising syllabi and textboohs in a phased manner. For this purpose, SCERT conducted a detailed study about the curriculum, syllabus, and textboohs of NCERT and other State boards in the country and abroad. SCERT developed textboohs for classes I to V in Bilingual format with ‘Trimester System and Class VI textboohs with ‘Two-Semester System from the academic year 2020-2021. Class VII and Class VIII textboohs were developed in Two-Semester System from the academic year 2021-22 and 2022-23 respectively.

3.After careful examination of the recommendations of the SCERT vide reference 2nd cited through the opinions of various staheholders of the School Education Department personnel and impact studies on new textboohs suggested that it is concluded to follow a uniform pattern in term-based syllabi and textboohs instead of multiple patterns. The Semester System will be helpful to both students and teachers, Learning becomes more meaningful.

4.Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Ofcers , Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shihsha and Principals of DIETs in the State are informed that the state will follow the two-semester system from class I to IX from the academic year 2023- 24 and from 2024-25 in respect of Class X.

This has got approval of the Commissioner of School Education

• స్కూళ్లలో ఇకపై రెండు సెమిస్టర్ల విధానంలో పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలు
• 1 నుంచి 9 తరగతులకు వచ్చే ఏడాది నుంచి అమలు
• 2024 - 25లో 10వ తరగతికి అమలు
• 2 సెట్లుగా పాఠ్యపుస్తకాల ముద్రణ
• స్కూళ్లు తెరిచిన రోజే అన్ని పుస్తకాలు పంపిణీ సగానికి తగ్గనున్న బ్యాగు బరువు
• చదువుకోవడమూ సులువు

 రాష్ట్రంలో పాఠశాలల విద్యార్థులకు అందించే పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలను వచ్చే విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి 2 సెమిస్టర్ల విధానంలో అందించాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. 2023 - 24 విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుంచి 1వ తరగతి నుంచి 9 వ తరగతి వరకు ఈ పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలు అందిస్తారు. 2024 - 25 విద్యా సంవత్సరంలో 10వ తరగతి విద్యార్థులకు కూడా ఇదే విధానంలో పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలు అందుతాయి. వీటిని మిర్రర్‌ ఇమేజ్‌లో బైలింగ్యువల్‌ (ద్విభాషా) విధానంలో ముద్రించి ఇస్తారు.

ఇలా రెండు సెమిస్టర్ల విధానంలో పుస్తకాలు ఇవ్వడం వల్ల విద్యార్థుల బ్యాగు బరువు సగం మేర తగ్గుతుంది. విద్యార్థులు కూడా సులభంగా చదువుకోవచ్చని అధికారవర్గాలు చెబుతున్నాయి. నాణ్యమైన విద్యను అందించేలా ప్రభుత్వం పాఠశాల విద్యలో పెద్ద ఎత్తున సంస్కరణలు తీసుకువచ్చిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఇందులో భాగంగా ఎస్సీఈఆర్టీ దశలవారీగా సిలబస్, పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలను సవరిస్తోంది. దీని కోసం దేశ, విదేశాల్లో ఉన్నత విధానాలపై అధ్యయనం చేసింది.

ఎన్సీఈఆర్టీ, ఇతర రాష్ట్ర బోర్డుల పాఠ్యాంశాలు, సిలబస్‌ను సమగ్రంగా అధ్యయనం చేసి ఉన్నత ప్రమాణాలతో కూడిన సంస్కరణలు తీసుకువచ్చారు. 2020 - 2021 విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుండి 'ట్రైమెస్టర్‌ (మూడు) సిస్టమ్‌తో ద్విభాషా ఆకృతిలో 1 నుండి 5వ తరగతులకు పాఠ్యపుస్తకాలను, రెండు సెమిస్టర్‌ విధానంలో 6వ తరగతి పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలను అందించారు.

7, 8 తరగతులకు కూడా 2021 - 22 విద్యా సంవత్సరం నుండి రెండు సెమిస్టర్‌ విధానంలో పుస్తకాలు ఇచ్చారు. అయితే, వివిధ వర్గాలు, నిపుణుల అభిప్రాయాలను అనుసరించి క్షేత్ర స్థాయిలో కూడా పరిశీలన చేసి టర్మ్‌ ఆధారిత సిలబస్‌ పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలలో ఏకరీతి నమూనాను అనుసరించాలని ఎస్సీఈఆర్టీ ఓ నివేదిక ఇచ్చింది. ఈ విధానం విద్యార్థులకు, ఉపాధ్యాయులకు ఉపయోగకరంగా ఉంటుందని పేర్కొంది.

ఎస్సీఈఆర్టీ నివేదిక అన్ని తరగతులకు రెండు సెమిస్టర్ల విధానంలో పాఠ్య పుస్తకాలు అందించాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించినట్లు ఎస్సీఈఆర్టీ డైరెక్టర్‌ బి.ప్రతాప్‌ రెడ్డి శనివారం విడుదల చేసిన సర్క్యులర్‌లో వివరించారు. రెండు సెమిస్టర్ల పుస్తకాలను ఒకేసారి పాఠశాలలు తెరిచే రోజునే విద్యార్థులకు పంపిణీ చేస్తారు.
